Chicago Children's Museum - Navy Pier

The Chicago Children’s Museum is inside Navy Pier, you enter on the 2nd floor.  There are 3 levels you can visit/play on.  They have some permanent and some changing exhibits.  Some of their more popular exhibits are the Dinosaur Expedition where kids dig for dinosaur bones, an interactive Water Ways exhibit with pulleys, pumps, etc., Kids Town with a CTA bus and mini grocery store, and more. When we took Aiden here he was much younger.  We visited every exhibit they had and he really enjoyed it.  I have to say though, out of all the cool things they had there the most memorable for me was when he played in the grocery store/restaurant.  I had no idea he would be so into it but he really was! He grabbed a shopping cart and filled it with food and paid for it, then went to the kitchen area, put on an apron and started chopping vegetables and baking bread! LOL! It was so cute. He would take the big fake plastic bread and stick it in the big fake brick oven and he would repeat all this over and over in a big hurry like he was an actual chef in a big busy restaurant.  Aiden was pretty verbally limited at this time so this really caught me by surprise.  I will never forget this :)
